Satish dropped a link that's hard to scroll past: Ghost Font, a typeface from Mixfont that hides letters inside a field of moving dots. Humans read it instantly through motion — machines largely can't. It exploits the Gestalt principle of common fate: our brains parse motion as signal; most AI vision models don't.
It's not a font file. It generates short videos where the letter only emerges through animation. A decoy message is baked in to further confuse optical models. Eric Lu tested it against Claude Fable and GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra — both failed to read the text. For now.
The creator frames it as "an exploration of the gap between how humans and machines perceive motion" rather than a security tool — but the gap is real, and for a shop building at the intersection of design and AI, it's a useful reminder that perception is still a terrain where humans hold ground.

Kunal flagged a Grok Build outage on Sunday the 13th, and the thread surfaced something worth knowing: because Grok 4.5 is deeply integrated into Cursor's coding agent, xAI's service degradation took Cursor down with it. Achal noted Siddhaarth had already shut Cursor off ahead of the incident — solid call. If your coding workflow runs through Cursor, Grok's uptime is now your uptime.
Achal shared an update from Arena.ai — two new models joined their Text and Code leaderboards this week: Inkling and Kimi-K3. The leaderboard is one of the cleaner signals for which coding and reasoning models are actually ahead on real tasks rather than benchmark cherry-picks.

Achal posted the breaking news Tuesday: over 859 active wildfires in northern Ontario are pushing smoke into the Midwest, Northeast, and mid-Atlantic — putting more than 115 million people under unhealthy air quality alerts. Toronto briefly ranked as the worst air quality city in the world, surpassing Delhi and Doha. The smoke is also drawing questions about the FIFA World Cup Final in New York this weekend.
